29. But I vent to my BFF…

Therapy is uniquely, totally, and completely about you. Therapists are trained to listen, guide, support and help you process life in a safe, confidential and researched-based manner. You don’t have to choose your words, worry about hurting feelings, or wonder whether a secret will be kept.

Some also find benefit in having a scheduled time to let down their guard, dive deep, and do the work, all while knowing that once their session is over, all of that “stuff” will be “put up” until next session- instead of a friend, family member, or coworker bringing up things you’ve shared with them at any time/ place.

There is a time and a place for most things... The time and place for your stuff might be therapy.
